When should I book my newborn session?

When is the best time to book your newborn photography session?  

The ideal time to book your newborn photo session is from your second trimester. As soon as you have a due date at your 12 week scan you are able to book in your newborn session.  Sounds early, doesn't it?  So, why so early? 

Newborn photography is best done within the first 14 days so its important to book in early to:

• ensure that I have availability around your due date - we schedule a tentative session date then adjust accordingly when baby arrives
• tick a to-do off your list - the first few weeks after baby has arrived can be hectic - you're recovering from the birth, adjusting to becoming parents or to the addition of a new family member - it's one less thing to think about after your baby arrives
• give you plenty of time to plan your session - what you are going to wear and ensuring all family members are available. We have time to discuss colours props and how your newborn session will flow
