Jess and Damon's Wedding at Flowerdale Estate

What a way to start the New Year with Jess and Damon's wedding at Flowerdale Estate! It was the first of hopefully many weddings that I will have the opportunity to photograph at this stunning venue.

Flowerdale Estate is like an oasis with its green lawns, large dam and established gardens and is a stark contrast to the dry countryside surrounding it and the landscape I had passed through on the drive from Mansfield.

Jess had described travelling all over the State for a venue that suited her and Damon and their Celtic inspired wedding and they both fell in love with Flowerdale.

Groom Getting Ready

Damon's four groomsmen and one page boy got ready in the guest house at Flowerdale Estate.

Just loved the green tartan used in the tie, pocket squares and cuff links that was the traditional family tartan.

The flowers from River Gum Florist in Seymour were the perfect fit to complete the look.

Bride Getting Ready

Flowerdale Estate provides onsite rooms for wedding parties getting ready prior to their ceremony and Jess and her bridesmaids had full use of three rooms of the main homestead that leads out onto the lawn where the ceremony would take place later in the day.  The homestead is surrounded by a wide verandah with doors opening onto the decking from each room.

Ceremony

Jess and Damon choose the North lawn as their ceremony location, a manicured lawn with the homestead on one side and established hedging on the other.  They were married in front of the arbor and added decorative doors and planting to frame Jess' entrance.

Reception

The reception hall is a near new purpose built structure that that has large green double doors providing a great entrance for the couple.  With walls that can be retracted couples can choose from an indoor/outdoor feel or keep it closed for a more intimate feel or to for cooler weather.

Thank you Jess and Damon for choosing me as your photographer - it was an absolute pleasure for Alison and I to be a part of your special day.
