Elijah's Kitchen - Branding Shoot - Zachary Green - Chef
Jan 11, 2019 | By: sandra lee photography
When Zach Green from Elijah's Kitchen contacted me for some images for the relaunch of his pop up restaurant his enthusiasm for the project was infectious. Titled "Finding Home Again" Zach talked about his connection to the Indigenous Community (discovering at age 12 that his paternal grandmother was Aboriginal), having spent time in the Northern Territory learning about traditional cooking, indigenous flavours and ingredients and the loss of his son who Elijah's Kitchen is named after.
Zach was looking for imagery that would connect with the "Finding Home Again" theme and it was important that we photographed him along the river at Sawmill Settlement, which has a very personal significance to him.
I can't do Zach's story justice so I encourage you to take a look at his website.
In addition to the 'on location' shots Zach also needed some studio shots. With each change of outfit we saw different sides of Zach's personality. Sam, from De Silva Lining Events who will be organising all of the pop ups in 2019, joined him for a few shots to create a more corporate image along with some more relaxed shots. Thanks Sam for your help on the day being only too willing to hold a light, carry a bag or fix Zach's wardrobe.
Thank you both for an amazing shoot and I can't wait to see the first pop up event in Mansfield!
